Our approach

Mind Skills build resilience.

Q Studio’s Mind Skills for Manager Resilience Program develops resilience across five dimensions. Managers learn to think clearly under pressure, regulate emotional responses, manage their energy, maintain strong working relationships, and stay connected to what matters as demands shift.

The OUTCOME

The Program is so powerful that we shouldn’t wait to do pilots or roll it out to a selective group. To get the most out of it, everyone should, and can, get trained on mind skills.

Just one exercise helped me to recover from a pretty emotional situation I was in. If that’s the power of one exercise, I can’t wait to see what I can do when I have a better grasp on all the techniques.

FAQ

What's on your mind?

What is Manager Resilience?

Manager Resilience is the ability to maintain clarity, judgement, and effective performance through sustained demands, setbacks, and changes. It is not simply about tolerating more pressure. It includes recognizing when pressure is affecting how you think or act, recovering effectively, and adjusting your approach when circumstances change.

What is the Manager Resilience Training Program?

Manager Resilience training develops the practical skills managers need to work effectively through pressure and change. Q Studio's program uses Mind Skills to strengthen how managers make decisions, work with emotional responses, manage their capacity, maintain strong relationships, and stay connected to their purpose.

Who is the Manager Resilience Training Program for?

The program is designed for middle managers, team leads, and first-time managers who are responsible for delivering results while supporting the performance of a team.

How does the Manager Resilience Training Program work?

The program begins with the Resilience Profile followed by three learning sprints, cohort workshops, and short practice on the MyQStudio app between sessions. Most practice happens alongside the real demands managers are already navigating, so the program is designed to minimize time away from productive work. It closes with an impact assessment to track progress against the outcomes agreed at the start.

Why does the Manager Resilience Training Program use cohort learning?

Managers often face similar demands even when their roles and teams are different. Cohort workshops let participants practise techniques, compare approaches, and learn from how other managers work through common situations. The learning focuses on management challenges and structured exercises without requiring participants to disclose sensitive company or team information.

How is progress measured?

Each manager begins with a Resilience Profile across the five dimensions developed in the program. Progress is then tracked through the learning experience and against the success measures agreed at the start, with individual insights and aggregated cohort reporting.

Does Q Studio offer Mind Skills training for other levels of the organization?

Yes. Manager Resilience is specifically designed around the demands managers face. Q Studio offers separate programs for other career stages, such as, Leadership Capacity for senior and functional leaders, Team Adaptability for established teams, and Workplace Readiness for new hires and early-career talent.
